Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at a leading acute-care hospital in Goldsboro, NC. We are dedicated to providing competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. As an RN, you will be reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director and will be responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Essential Duties:

• Education: Participate in identifying and meeting your learning needs. Attend education programs based on identified learning needs and assess the readiness to learn of patients, families, and caregivers.
• Evaluation of Care: Identify expected patient outcomes and seek guidance as needed in the revision of care plans. Engage in discussions with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care and promote continuity of care.
• Implementation: Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care. Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs.
• Leadership: Develop goals to promote professional growth and participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities.
• Patient Assessment: Recognize data from complex situations to determine priorities for care and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families.
• Planning: Collaborate with patients and families to prepare or update the plan of care while addressing cultural and ethnic issues in patient care.
• Research: Stay updated by reading journals that contain applicable studies or articles and bring ideas to the staff for assessment.

This position is specifically in the Cath Lab, and the RN is expected to float between the Cath Lab and CVU. Cardiac Cath Lab experience is required, while acute cardiac care experience is accepted. Pre and post experience is optional, and candidates must have Epic experience. We will consider 48/hr contract requests.
