GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Montgomery, Alabama.
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at a leading acute-care hospital in Montgomery, AL. We are seeking dedicated professionals to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. Facility Overview: This facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 492 beds, featuring four Cath Labs and a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab, you will play a crucial role in providing care for patients undergoing various cardiac procedures.
Patient Types: You will work with patients experiencing STEMI/NSTEMI, LHC/RHC, CHF, Angina, ACS, Afib, IABP/Impella, CTOs, staged/protected PCI, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacers. Experience in electrophysiology and vascular cases is a plus but not required.
Required Experience: Candidates must have interventional Cath Lab experience, with a minimum of one year in the field. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
Key Responsibilities:
Support on the Unit: You will have access to a Cath Lab Coordinator/Supervisor, Respiratory Therapists, Hospitalists, Cardiologists on call, and a Code Team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Technology/Equipment: Familiarity with EMR systems (Cerner), hemodynamic monitoring (XPER), and medication dispensing systems (Omnicell) is beneficial. Experience with additional equipment such as Medtronic ACT machines and IVUS is a plus, but not required.
Orientation: New travelers will receive 24 hours of classroom training, followed by 1-3 shifts of on-the-unit orientation based on comfort level.
Scheduling: Weekend rotation includes being on call every fourth weekend and one call night during the week. Regular schedules are managed by the unit manager.
Additional Information: Scrubs are provided, and parking is available in a designated parking deck. Holiday expectations include working one major and one minor seasonal holiday per contract.
