Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of specialty experience for a hospital-based cardiac cath lab supporting complex vascular and electrophysiology procedures.

Details

  • Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Call requirements include 1 late call per week (5:30 PM-7:30 PM), 1 overnight call per week (5:30 PM-7:00 AM), and 1-2 weekend calls per 6-week schedule (Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
  • Uses Epic and McKesson charting systems
  • Philips Single and Bi-Plane Angiography equipment preferred experience
  • May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab specialty required
  • ARRT-R certification and Rad Tech license in KY required (license may be pending at time of consideration but must be obtained before start); license required if applicable
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
  • PALS certification required prior to start date
  • EKG onboarding exam required
  • Epic EHR experience required
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Skilled in procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, TAVR, Watchman, ASD closures, Impella insertion, temporary pacemaker placement, EP studies, AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, and pacemaker insertion
  • Experience with angioplasty, hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, ECMO, rotablader, and venous access preferred
  • At least 1 supervisor reference from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, EKG lead placement, room circulating, and maintaining sterile fields while scrubbed in
  • Performs vascular studies and procedures alongside cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology teams
  • Does not accept candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility
  • Former UK-affiliated permanent staff must have a 6-month gap in employment before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration; requests made afterward will not be approved
  • Candidates with any licensure hits will not be accepted by this facility
