Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of specialty experience for a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab.

Details

  • Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Uses Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment, ultrasound, and PACS
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • No floating required unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in cardiac cath lab specialty
  • ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required (RCIS preferred), license required if applicable
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • Skilled in EKG lead placement, sterile technique, vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Experience with diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, IABP and Impella insertion, pacemaker insertion, and EP studies including cardioversion and AICD insertion/programming
  • Must be able to recognize and interpret life-threatening arrhythmias and dysrhythmias
  • References required for consideration

  • Maintains infection control standards using isolation precautions and PPE
  • Stocks supplies and maintains equipment inventory
  • First-time travelers not accepted for this position
  • Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
  • Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before returning
