Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with prior interventional radiology experience for a role requiring on-call availability at a Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke facility.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab supporting STEMI cases, vascular emergencies, and structural heart procedures
• 5x8-hour day shifts, typically starting between 6-8 AM with case-dependent end times
• On-call rotation of 1 week on, 1 week off with a 30-minute facility arrival requirement
• Circulating role required for cath lab and IR procedures
• Uses Cerner charting system
• High Spanish-speaking patient population, with translator staff available for support

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact license (pending TX license accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Interventional Radiology experience required (cardiac or neuro IR call experience)
• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based acute care experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Experience with procedures such as PCI, TAVR, Impella insertion, IABP placement/removal, pacemaker/defibrillator management, and vascular closure systems
• One supervisory reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Facility is Chest Pain Accredited, Comprehensive Stroke Certified, and a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Support a wide range of cardiac, vascular, neuro, and interventional radiology procedures
• Assist with procedural sedation monitoring, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency medication administration
• Complete approximately 4-8 hours of non-billable orientation modules prior to start
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are considered local and accepted at the local bill rate
• Any requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to confirmation
