Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab/EP unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
• On-call responsibilities 1-2 times per week and 1-2 weekends per month
• Float required within scope of practice
• Scrubs and lead apron provided for cases
• Ratios may fluctuate with census and staffing needs

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license in hand required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required
• IR experience a plus
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Two professional references required: one from a Charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Valid driver's license matching permanent address required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, EP procedures, and related cardiovascular care
• Skills across cardiac cath lab, EP, vascular, neurological, and pulmonary procedures are valued
• Flu vaccine required with only medical or religious exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility for STEMI call response
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted
• Travelers who have completed a one-year assignment must take a minimum 6-month break before returning
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
