Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital setting requiring 2 years of case management experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Acute hospital setting within the Case Management department
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Floating between like units required based on facility need
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital case management experience performing care coordination and discharge planning
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered with clinical manager approval
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, prior authorizations, appeals and denials, and benefits eligibility review
• Knowledge of CMS, DRG, HIPAA, and The Joint Commission standards preferred
• Local candidates accepted within a 50 mile radius
• Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
• Facility located near multiple state and national parks with access to outdoor recreation and coastal scenery
