Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for a 13-week hospital assignment requiring 3+ years of case management experience and PA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Hospital-based Case Management unit
• Adult and geriatric patients on MS/MS Tele units
• Approximately 25 cases per day
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekends or on-call requirements
• 1 holiday coverage required
• May float to other units depending on need
• Uses Epic charting system
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA state or compact) required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• BSN required
• 3+ years of hospital case management and discharge planning experience
• Experience with InterQual Criteria and Milliman Guidelines preferred
• Knowledge of utilization review processes including admission criteria, concurrent review, and medical necessity determinations
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as CMS, HIPAA, ICD-10, and DRG coding
• Valid professional references and certification copies required for consideration
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; no changes accepted afterward

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review
• Perform admission criteria assessments, appeals and denials management, and continued stay reviews
• Business casual dress code with white lab coat required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles for local rate differential eligibility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Pass/Fail clinical exam required as part of clearance process, with a maximum of 3 attempts
• PA fingerprints required within 1 week of contract signing, which may involve travel over 100 miles
