Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Case Manager – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30), every other weekend required. Caseload up to 25 patients. May float between units based on departmental needs. No call required.

Requirements:

  • Active California Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital case management experience, current within the last year (required)
  • Proficiency with Epic charting system required
  • Experience with HMOs, IPAs, and managed care organizations
  • Knowledge of advance directives, POLST, and protective services processes
  • Skills in discharge planning, care coordination, DRG, appeals and denials, and prior authorizations
  • Understanding of CMS guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and Joint Commission standards
  • Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers considered with clinical approval
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
