Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Case Manager – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Eureka, California – Northern California coastal region

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30), every other weekend required. Case load up to 25 patients. Float to similar units based on departmental needs. No call required.

  • Serve diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Requirements:

  • Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital case management experience required
  • Current case management experience within the last year is mandatory
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with HMOs, IPAs, advance directives, POLST, and protective services processes
  • Proficiency in discharge planning, care coordination, appeals and denials, and prior authorizations
  • Knowledge of CMS guidelines, DRG, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers considered with clinical approval
  • Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
  • Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
