Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2 years of hospital case management experience with care coordination and discharge planning.

Details

  • Acute Care Facility setting within the Case Management department
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Patient ratio of 1:20
  • Weekend rotation required to meet department needs
  • No floating expectation for this unit
  • Scrubs or business attire accepted

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required, pending license accepted if licensed by start date
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning required
  • Prior hospital experience is mandatory
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Prior travel experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be screened for consideration
  • Utilizes InterQual criteria and familiarity with CMS and DRG regulatory standards

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, and plan of care management within an acute hospital setting
  • First-time travelers may be considered pending clinical screening
  • RTO limited to no more than 7 days, with requests required upfront during submission
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
