Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital requiring 2 years of hospital case management experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Patient ratio of 1:20
  • Weekend rotation required to meet department needs
  • No floating expected within the contracted facility, though floating between sister facilities nearby may be required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • 2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning required
  • Hospital experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered pending clinical screening
  • Experience with care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care, and InterQual Criteria utilization
  • Familiarity with CMS and Department of Health regulatory standards preferred

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review within an acute care hospital setting
  • Scrub or business attire acceptable
  • RTO limited to no more than 7 days
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required, which may include Charge RNs or Leads
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, subject to clinical screening
