Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring acute care case management experience and either Epic or travel experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital inpatient Case Management unit
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 13-week contract length
• 2-3 weekends required per contract
• Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
• Floating required within scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Active VA state RN license or compact license, pending license accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before start date
• Minimum 2 years of acute care case management experience required
• Epic EMR experience required, or prior travel experience in lieu of Epic
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, disease management, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care development
• Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract, and must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Any planned time off between sign date and start date must be disclosed to arrange a realistic start date
• Previous UVA Health permanent staff or traveler employment requires a 1-year separation and leadership approval before reapplying
• External travelers may not exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once this threshold is reached
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have acute care case management and Epic experience
• No radius or local candidate restrictions apply to this position
