Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular Unit position requiring 2 years of critical care experience and a current CA RN license.

Details

• 30-bed Cardiovascular Unit providing medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care
• Medium to high acuity patient population from young adults through geriatric patients
• Common diagnoses include cardiac conditions, pre/post CABG, carotid endarterectomy, acute MI, post pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, CHF, and pneumonia
• Patient-to-nurse ratio not to exceed 1:4
• 12-hour day shifts starting at 0700
• EPIC EMR used
• May float to other units, including Med/Surg

Requirements

• Active CA RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• Successful completion of prior traveler assignments required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to medium to high acuity cardiovascular patients
• Holiday coverage required
• Float assignments to Med/Surg and other units may be required as needed
