Description

Job Title: Cardiac Ultrasonographer Profession: Clinical-Allied Specialty: N/A Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, Monday-Friday Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Adult echocardiography experience required. Minimum Years of Experience: N/A License: RDMS Certification from ARDMS or RCS from CCI is required. BLS Certification is required. Certifications: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) preferred. Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) preferred. Must-Have: Attention to detail. Collaboration skills. Continuous learning. Initiative. Judgment and critical thinking. Problem-solving skills. Quality assurance. Reliability. Technical expertise. Description: To ensure that Cardiology services rendered are completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Services include inpatients and outpatients as well as affiliated community groups as needed. Priority is given to services that directly affect patients and supervised staff. Performs cardiac ultrasound exams used to evaluate cardiac structure and function including 2D, M-mode, Doppler color, TEE, and stress echo. Interprets exams for preliminary reports to identify critically abnormal findings and communicates this information to the physician. Cleans and disinfects TEE probe according to infection control standards. Records and reports the results of all procedures. Responds to calls for emergency echocardiograms during hours when not regularly scheduled. Maintains accurate and appropriate records. Abides by Service Delivery Standards. May perform other duties as assigned.
