Conducts invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems. Operates x-ray and physiological equipment. Assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Maintains equipment and records test results. Operates all special procedure equipment and modifies technical factors as needed. Acts as a resource for specialized procedures, improving practice through shared knowledge. Monitors, records, and evaluates patient vital signs throughout procedures. Provides protection to patients following radiation safety standards. Maintains proper sterile techniques and follows infection control procedures. Records and maintains physiologic equipment according to established clinical procedures. Responsible for all cardiac Cath equipment and practices preventive maintenance. Assists during special procedures and the administration of opaque media. Completes appropriate forms at the start and end of any special procedures. Records charges appropriately. Performs general office duties as requested. Keeps area stocked and cleans equipment after each patient use. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
