Description:
The Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiography Technologist works closely with the cardiologist in the assessment and treatment of cardiac diseases.
This role involves working in an Accredited Echo Lab, which includes outpatient and inpatient evaluations.
On-call coverage for after-hours, weekends, and holidays is required.
Diagnostic ultrasound testing includes m-mode, 2D, 3D, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, tissue Doppler imaging, strain imaging, bubble studies, and contrast-enhanced transthoracic echocardiograms.
The position also requires conducting exercise and pharmacology stress echocardiograms and assisting the cardiologist with transesophageal echocardiograms.
