Job Title: Echocardiology Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Echo Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) required Certifications: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Minimum one year of echocardiography experience. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology, Doppler principles, and echocardiographic imaging techniques. Use expertise to obtain diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images and measurements that support the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. This role requires independent judgment, strong technical skills, and a commitment to providing compassionate care. You will perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms, limited studies, contrast studies, and bubble studies. Produce accurate cardiac measurements and diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by cardiologists while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Utilize clinical judgment to evaluate patient history, optimize imaging, and recognize significant abnormalities. Communicate urgent findings when appropriate. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care across various settings. Excellent communication and patient care skills are essential. Demonstrated strong organizational and computer skills are required. Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with care teams is important.
