Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit position requiring a TX or compact RN license and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Details

  • Work in a 30-bed Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit within a hospital setting
  • Care for patients with complex cardiovascular and vascular conditions including CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, lobectomy, and CEA
  • Manage patients with NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, sepsis, GIB, post-DKA, and respiratory failure
  • Provide care involving HFNC, BIPAP, stable GTT management, pacers, and tracheostomies
  • Scheduled shift is 06:45-19:15
  • Floating required between critical care service line units

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Cardiovascular and vascular nursing experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide stepdown-level care to post-surgical and acute cardiovascular patients
  • Must reside within the facility's designated radius rule area to qualify for the travel pay rate, with reduced rates applying to local candidates within that radius
  • Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address for consideration
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
