Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of invasive cardiology experience for a Cardiovascular Invasive unit.

Details

• Cardiovascular Invasive department performing cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiology diagnostic and interventional procedures
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rotational weekend and holiday shift coverage required
• May float to other Carle Health hospital locations within the system
• EPIC charting experience required

Requirements

• Minimum three years of applicable experience in invasive cardiology procedures
• Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate of completion for a Radiology Program required
• ARRT Registration in Radiology required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• State Rad Tech license required if applicable
• Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac/vascular/EP anatomy and physiology, and moderate sedation protocols
• Proficient in EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
• Skilled in sterile field and table setup, patient prep/draping, and aseptic technique
• Experience operating monophasic and biphasic defibrillators and physiologic monitoring equipment
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging equipment operation
• Effective communication skills for patient education and team collaboration

Additional Information

• Assist cardiologists in performing invasive coronary, vascular, and EP diagnostic/therapeutic procedures
• Set up and operate imaging and monitoring equipment specific to cardiac procedures
• Interpret hemodynamic and procedural outcomes and assist in identifying complications
• Collaborate with research coordinators and team members on lab-based studies
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring safety and reporting malfunctions promptly
• Manage digital archiving of patient images and reports
• Mentor and train team members as needed
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted
