Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU Days position requiring critical care and open heart recovery experience.

Details

• Critical Care-Cardiovascular ICU with 8 beds
• Patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:3
• Patient population includes post-surgical management for Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Thoracotomies, TAVRs, and Post Complex PCI Interventions
• Procedures include post-open heart and post-cardiac procedure recovery, central line placements, arterial line placements, and chest tube placements
• Uses Edwards Monitoring, GE Monitoring, and SWAN Ganz catheters
• Day shift schedule from 06:45-19:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/cardiac critical care experience required
• Open heart recovery and post cardiac procedure recovery experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing management for complex cardiovascular and post-surgical patients
• Radius rule applies which may affect eligibility for travel pay rate depending on distance from facility
• Candidates should begin discussing assignment extension with their manager approximately 45 days before the end date
