Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU day shift position requiring open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure experience.

Details

  • Critical Care-Cardiovascular ICU unit with 8 beds
  • Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3
  • Post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions
  • Performs post-open heart and post-cardiac procedure care including central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements
  • Uses Edwards monitoring, GE monitoring, and Swan-Ganz catheters
  • Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care or cardiac critical care required
  • Open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Must provide full SSN and DOB, driver's license copy, skills checklist, and 2 separate references for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing support for post-surgical cardiac and vascular patients
  • Only one submission permitted per candidate system-wide within this health system
  • Radius rule applies which allows local candidates but at a reduced rate depending on facility location
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
  • Covid vaccination is not required
  • Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
