Demonstrates working knowledge of ECMO circuit components, pump adjustments, anticoagulation therapy, patient monitoring systems, and related policies.

Manage up to three circuits simultaneously, ensuring safety and circuit integrity through detailed assessments and documentation. Respond promptly to emergent circuit issues, monitor blood gas and laboratory values, and adjust support parameters as needed. Participate in quality improvement, research activities, and mandatory ECMO competency trainings. Engage in monthly multidisciplinary conferences or review journal articles with continuing education units (CEUs).
