Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This position provides critical care for complex cardiovascular patients, including postoperative day-zero open-heart cases. The role requires expertise in intra-aortic balloon pump and Impella management, arrhythmia management, pathophysiology, hemodynamics, and high-acuity patient assessment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; shifts are variable and may include days or nights. Call is required.
- Required Qualifications:
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state or district
- Two years of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience
- Experience with postoperative day-zero open-heart cases
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump and Impella
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze and assess patient conditions
- Thorough knowledge of arrhythmia management, pathophysiology, and hemodynamics
- Ability to communicate, coordinate, and delegate in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment
- Additional Information:
- Assignment dates are scheduled from 11/16/2026 through 02/13/2027.
- The role involves providing care in a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care setting.
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, expert clinical analysis, care coordination, and delegation.
- The position may require transitioning between day and night shifts based on operational needs.
