Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular registered nurse (RN) opportunity located in Minnesota. This role involves coordinating nursing care within a surgical intensive care setting, supporting patient and family education, and facilitating transitions of care. The RN will work within a rotating schedule, providing both day/night and straight night shifts, with every third weekend working. The position emphasizes cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and reading ECG strips, with a focus on advanced cardiovascular care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, including day/night rotation (0700-1930 and 1900-0730) and straight nights (1900-0730). Every 3rd weekend. Floating required as needed.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the applicable state; 2 years of recent acute care ICU nursing experience; 6 months of travel nursing experience; ability to read ECG strips; cardiopulmonary monitoring skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventricular assist devices (VAD), Impella, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and balloon pumps. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Additional Information: Cardiac monitoring and telemetry skills are essential. Orientation includes ECG exam; successful completion is required to continue assignment. Strong leadership, mentoring, and teaching skills are valued. Experience in Coronary Vasculature Surgery ICU is preferred.
