The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for a night shift position. This role involves providing specialized care in a critical care setting with a focus on cardiac patients. The nurse will deliver comprehensive patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and utilize critical thinking to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift hours, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week required
  • Required Qualifications: Current Illinois (IL) Nursing License; CPR; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification; 3 years of clinical experience in ICU, Cardiovascular, or related specialty
  • Preferred Qualifications: Extensive cardiac experience and ICU experience in stroke neuro, step-down ICU, or ICU units; willingness to float down to Medical Surgical units as needed
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process in patient care, administering medications and treatments as per policies, documenting care documentation standards, developing individualized patient care plans, participating in performance improvement activities, and providing clinical support across units.
