This role involves providing safe, high-quality patient care based on nursing research and standards for a diverse patient population, with an emphasis on cardiac and post-operative care.

  • Schedule: 11.5-hour shifts, 3 to 4 days per week, with weekends required.
  • Conducts patient assessments and applies critical thinking skills to manage care of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans.
  • Demonstrates advanced clinical skills crucial to quality and safety in cardiac patient care.
  • Performs charge nurse duties as assigned and ensures appropriate utilization of supplies and resources.
  • Utilizes electronic medical record systems for documentation supporting quality initiatives.
  • Contributes to the professional development of staff and engages in shared decision-making and unit initiatives.
  • Submits appropriate documentation and adheres to institutional, regulatory, and legal standards.
