Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular. This position provides cardiovascular intensive care for patients recovering from open-heart procedures within an acute care setting. The role includes caring for patients on the intensive care side and supporting progressive care needs as clinically appropriate.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week, generally scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular intensive care nursing experience; current Indiana or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Preferred Qualifications: Travel nursing experience; experience in a Level I or Level II facility; open-heart recovery experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Care is provided in a 22-bed mixed-acuity cardiovascular unit.
- Patient ratios are generally 1:1 or 1:2 on the intensive care side and 1:3 or 1:4 on the progressive care side.
- Floating may include progressive care or similar units as needed, with ratios of approximately 1:3.
- Electronic charting and medication-dispensing systems are utilized.
- Caribbean blue scrubs are required.
- Mandatory orientation attendance is required for all three days during the first week.
