Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool RN requiring an active MA RN license and prior travel nursing experience to float across multiple units within a large hospital system.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Care includes ED border patients, medication administration in the acute mental health unit, and transfer-ready non-vented ICU patients
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on Days/Evenings and up to 6:1 on Nights
• Units range from 8 to 41 beds within a 371-bed hospital
• Rotating Days/Evenings schedule with 1 to 3 rotations to Nights per contract, including EOW requirement
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring skills required, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• TR Band experience required
• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read telemetry strips
• 2 years of telemetry monitoring experience preferred
