Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring strong cardiac background and active MA RN licensure.

Details

  • 24-bed Medical Cardiology unit
  • Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:30, 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
  • RN to patient ratio of 1:6 on nights
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required (conditional/pending licenses not accepted)
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a traveler required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with a strong cardiac background required
  • Ability to interpret telemetry strips and perform cardiac drips required
  • Experience with post-cath care including PCI, ICD, PPM, and ablation procedures required
  • Experience with TR band and femoral approach required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care for a cardiology population including post-catheterization and telemetry monitoring
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
  • Local candidates accepted if permanent residence is more than 60 miles from Boston, MA
