Travel Nurse Job Details

• Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
• Setting: 41-bed Medical Telemetry Unit
• Location: Salem, MA
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Pattern: Nights with every other weekend coverage
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 to $2,010
• Charting System: EPIC
• Floating: Required to applicable units as needed

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in one location
• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen
• Strong clinical skills in a medical telemetry environment
• Experience caring for diverse patient populations, including cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use, GU, and GI cases

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients in a fast-paced medical setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips accurately
• Administer and manage cardiac drips and other ordered therapies
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
• Collaborate with the care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when needed
• Document care and patient status accurately in EPIC
• Float to applicable units based on staffing needs
