• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Must work 2 of 3 holidays
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Charting System: Cerner PowerChart
• Float: May float to like units based on census and staffing needs

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of telemetry, cardiac, or acute care nursing experience required
• Active RN license or ability to obtain prior to start
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Comfort working in a high-acuity cardiac unit with patient ratios typically around 1:5-6, and at times higher
• Ability to care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring and cardiac drips per unit protocols
• First-time travelers considered
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Willingness to float to like units as needed
• Ability to adapt quickly in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare setting

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for patients with CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, chest pain, and other cardiac conditions
• Monitor patients on telemetry, including remote telemetry oversight and close bedside assessment
• Administer and manage cardiac drips according to unit procedures
• Support safe care for patients requiring oxygen therapy, IV management, heparin protocols, and related telemetry interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote efficient, coordinated patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Cerner PowerChart
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and support rapid response efforts when needed
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach throughout every shift
• Float to like units when required to help meet patient care needs
