• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,870
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 holidays
• Float Requirement: May float to a like unit based on staffing needs
• Charting System: Cerner PowerChart
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Setting: Cardiac telemetry / medical telemetry / cardiovascular unit

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience caring for patients with cardiac, stroke, and medical telemetry needs
• Comfort working with patient ratios ranging from 1:5 to 1:7
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced cardiac environment
• Willingness to float to like units as needed
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to telemetry patients with cardiac and neurological conditions
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient status promptly
• Administer and manage cardiac drips and other ordered therapies within scope and protocol
• Support patients recovering from STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, stroke, arrhythmias, and chest pain
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record using Cerner PowerChart
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach in a high-volume cardiac unit
