Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring OH or compact RN license, Epic proficiency, and strong telemetry experience.

Details

  • Works primarily on the Cardiac/Telemetry unit, with occasional floating to other Med-Surg units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders
  • Night shift schedule, 7p-7:30a, 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active OH or compact RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 3 years of recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience required
  • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips; competency testing occurs on first day
  • Current and proficient Epic EMR experience required; refresher courses or 1:1 training not accepted

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac/Telemetry unit with floating responsibilities to multiple Med-Surg specialty areas
  • Competency in reading telemetry and Epic proficiency will be assessed on day one, with termination risk if standards are not met
  • First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience and EMR proficiency requirements
