Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and a compact or state RN license.

Details

• 28-bed cardiac telemetry unit caring for all cardiac needs
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Unit supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, monitor techs, and virtual sitter monitoring
• Night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Up to 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule period
• Holiday coverage required based on department needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Implements and monitors patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient condition as appropriate
• Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carries out physician and nursing orders
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
