Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of cardiac experience and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a 24-bed hospital department
• Cardiac specialty unit serving generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial) and VATS
• Uses Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment/systems
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate's degree required
• Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active license verification via Nursys required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided

Additional Information

• Work in a family-oriented unit culture
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
• Travelers must start on one of the designated facility orientation dates
