Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750–$1,840
- Location: Greenville, South Carolina
- Unit: 32-bed adult Cardiac Telemetry unit
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 25, 2027
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, with flexibility based on unit needs
- Patient Ratio: 4 patients per nurse
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatric patients
- Floating: Flexibility to float to qualified units may be required
Cardiac Telemetry RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry nursing experience; 2 or more years strongly preferred
- At least 1 year of Epic electronic medical record experience required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Demonstrated competency with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, cardiac drips without titration, and heparin protocols
- Experience with cardiac catheterization, post-cardiac angiogram care, post-myocardial infarction care, and pre- and post-cardiac surgery care
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients with heart failure, arrhythmias, cardiac disease, renal failure, and other complex medical conditions
- Perform continuous EKG and oxygen saturation monitoring and promptly identify changes in patient condition
- Interpret dysrhythmias and communicate significant findings to the interdisciplinary care team
- Administer cardiac medications, IV therapies, oral medications, and anticoagulation according to established protocols
- Care for patients before and after cardiac catheterization, cardiac angiography, cardiac surgery, and other diagnostic or interventional procedures
- Manage central and peripheral lines, IV access, feeding tubes, wound care, wound vacs, urinary catheters, and other nursing interventions as indicated
- Educate patients and families regarding disease management, treatment plans, discharge needs, and post-hospitalization resources
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, social services, rapid response teams, and other members of the care team
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and use clinical systems and equipment effectively
- Float to other qualified units or clinical areas when requested and perform only competencies that have been demonstrated and documented
