Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the appropriate state
• At least 1 year of recent cardiac, stepdown, telemetry, or acute care nursing experience
• Cardiac RN certification preferred
• Strong cardiac monitoring and patient assessment skills
• Experience caring for pre- and post-CABG patients
• Experience with interventional cardiac procedures and related post-procedure care
• Ability to safely manage cardiac drips, titration, and specialized therapies
• Comfort with central lines, IV therapy, and infusion support

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess adult patients while applying the nursing process
• Monitor cardiac status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Provide care for patients before and after CABG and interventional cardiac procedures
• Maintain and remove sheaths and support specialized cardiac interventions as directed
• Administer and titrate medications and drips safely and accurately
• Perform chest tube care, central line care, IV therapy, and infusion therapy
• Support sedation, pain management, and patient education throughout recovery
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced cardiac stepdown unit
