Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Cardiac Med Unit position requiring 2 years of PCU experience and cardiac experience.

Details

• Progressive Care Cardiac Med Unit within a hospital setting, 36-bed unit
• Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 3 shifts per week
• EMR: Epic
• Floating required, with travelers being first to float, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Cardiac nursing experience required
• Nursing degree from an accredited program OR 5 years of experience required
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Required documents include SS card, DL, and COVID/Flu documentation

Additional Information

• Travelers are expected to integrate into the unit and function as core staff
• Strict 50-mile radius rule from permanent address, with thorough verification of residency and property ownership
• All RTO must be submitted at the time of application and will not be approved after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday, including remote orientation and an in-person visit for badge/ID
• No block scheduling requests accepted
• Candidates must be flexible team players and open to floating to sister campuses
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documents
