Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit role requiring Cardiac PCU experience and FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Cardiac Med Progressive Care Unit with 36 beds
• Patient ratios of 4-5:1
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Floating required, with travelers floated first and possibly to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required, with driver's license address matching BON address
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Cardiac experience required
• Degree from an accredited nursing program or 5 years of experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Documents required for consideration: SS card, DL, COVID/Flu documentation

Additional Information

• Travelers are welcomed into the unit and expected to function as core staff
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility, strictly enforced including property ownership checks
• Candidates must secure full-time housing in the area rather than commuting from outside the region
• No block scheduling requests accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted with the application, as RTO will not be approved after submission or offer
• No time off approved during Christmas week
• Orientation begins on a Friday, including an in-person visit for badge/ID followed by remote orientation
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documents
