Job Summary:
This position is for a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CCL TECH) located in the region. The role involves assisting with various cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring sterile preparation, and supporting the surgical team in a fast-paced cardiac care environment. The technologist will be responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: High School Education/GED or equivalent; Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience; 2 years minimum of recent open heart experience; Certified Surgery Technician (CST) certification or Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) certification; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; certification must be current.
- Preferred Qualifications: Scrub technician experience; operating room experience and/or training course; experience in general operative procedures including robotic, orthopedic, urology, or gynecology cases; ability to scrub coronary vascular (CV) cases solo and with additional team members; willingness to take call 50% of the time, typically for a full week.
- Additional Information: The position requires assisting with cardiac catheterization procedures, maintaining sterile technique, preparing supplies and equipment, performing instrument and supply counts, and supporting the overall clinical workflow in the cardiac cath lab. Candidates must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.
