Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in the specialty of Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) Tech. This full-time role involves supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, demonstrating thorough understanding of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology. The technician will assist with catheterization procedures, monitor patient safety, and ensure accurate documentation throughout the process.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS Basic Life Support (AHA), ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and preferably RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or RCES Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist licensure; ARRT licensure acceptable with scrub experience in cath lab.
- Education Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, or Cardiac or Vascular Sonography) and relevant experience.
- Location Requirements: No specific geographic restrictions are specified.
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a cath/EP lab.
- Schedule: Full-time, weekdays, 8-hour shifts starting at 6:30 AM with a minimum of 40 hours per week. On-call is required for 1 weekend per month (from 5 PM Friday to 6:30 AM Monday) and 4 weeknights per month (from 5 PM to 6:30 AM next day).
- Additional Responsibilities: Assist with cardiac and vascular procedures, monitor patients during procedures, interpret ECGs, recognize and respond to arrhythmias, manage equipment setup and supplies, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
