Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. This position involves working in a dynamic environment where you will assist in various cardiac procedures, ensuring the utmost care and precision for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Control the C-arm during procedures, providing critical support to physicians.
• Assist physicians with tasks during cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures as per established protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to any changes in status.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Number of Cath Lab Rooms: 3 Cath Lab rooms + 1 Hybrid OR
• Average Cases Per Day: 13-26
• Common Diagnoses/Patient Types: STEMI, NSTEMI, CAD, PAD, PVD, CHF, Heart blocks, Cancer
• Types of Cases: Cardiac interventions, peripheral vascular treatments, interventional radiology procedures, pacemaker insertions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or related field.
• Preferred experience in interventional radiology (IR).
• Required Certifications: ARRT and BLS Certification. AZRT certification is also desirable.

Work Environment and Schedule

• Shift Length: 8 or 10 hours.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week.
• Weeknight Call Requirement: Typically 1 night call shift per week.
• Weekend Call Requirement: Usually 1 weekend call per 4-week period.
• Holiday Call: Distributed equally among team members.
• Call Response Time: 30 minutes.

Orientation and Training

• General orientation: 1-2 days.
• Unit-specific orientation: 2 days.

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided by the facility. There are no floating requirements within this role.

Location: Candidate must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
