Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS/ACLS certification, with RCIS accepted.

Details

  • 225-bed specialty care hospital with a Level 2 trauma designation
  • Cardiac Cath Lab within the Cardiac Imaging department, part of the Heart & Vascular Institute
  • Adult and geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, and heart disease
  • Uses Cath Lab Suite equipment along with Merge Hemo and Cerner EHR systems
  • Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with variable start times of 7am or 8am
  • Weekend coverage required on an every-other-weekend on-call basis
  • Call requirements include reporting within 30 minutes of being called in

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • RCIS certification accepted in lieu of other credentials
  • License required if applicable
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Active licensure verification through Nursys required at time of consideration
  • Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform general cath lab procedures including angiography, angioplasty, arterial line insertion, coronary angioplasty, CTO, intra-aortic balloon, Impella, intravascular ultrasound, stent placement, thrombolysis, venography, and wave wire studies
  • Experience with hemodynamic calculations and right/left heart catheterization preferred
  • Exposure to structural heart procedures, vascular interventional work, and EP studies preferred, with training available if needed
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Bi-weekly orientation schedule
  • Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
