Job Summary
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN) position in Springfield, Illinois, involves providing specialized care within an acute care hospital setting. The role focuses on interventional cardiac procedures, including diagnostic and adult left heart catheterizations, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and procedural sedation. The RN will support a fast-paced environment with a patient census of approximately 25, working a 4-day or 3-day shift schedule during days (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM).

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Days (06:30 AM 07:00 PM), minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience, active Illinois license, ACLS and BLS certifications, previous experience in diagnostic and interventional Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory procedures, such as adult left heart catheterization, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, right heart catheterization, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring. Must have Cerner charting system experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
  • Float: Float within scope to meet facility needs may be required.
  • Additional Information: The candidate must have interventional cardiac cath lab experience with familiarity in circulatory and diagnostic procedures. Strict adherence to facility protocol and documentation using Cerner is required. The first day involves completing virtual orientation modules, and all compliance documents must be finalized within one week of start date. Travel to the facility requires a valid Illinois license, and candidates must be available to work 2-3 weekend shifts and at least two major holidays. The assignment has RTO restrictions, ideally no more than five days off.
