- Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Call Requirement: Seven on-call nights per month, including one weekend rotation covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus four additional nights
- Patient Population: Adult
- Charting System: Epic Cupid
- Floating: Not required
- Clinical Environment: Two-room cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab
Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 4 years of professional nursing experience
- Recent Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab experience
- Experience with interventional cardiac procedures and surgical scrub responsibilities
- Current AHA ACLS certification
- Strong knowledge of adult cardiovascular care and procedural nursing practices
- Ability to work scheduled call rotations, including overnight and weekend coverage
Cardiac Cath Lab Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
- Support complex interventional cardiac procedures, including percutaneous coronary intervention, Impella placement, intra-aortic balloon pump procedures, device implantation, and cardiac ablations.
- Perform circulating and surgical scrub responsibilities while maintaining strict procedural, sterile, and patient-safety standards.
- Monitor patients during invasive cardiac procedures and promptly recognize and respond to changes in clinical condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesia professionals, and the multidisciplinary procedural team.
- Complete accurate documentation in Epic Cupid and provide effective handoff communication.
- Participate in scheduled overnight and weekend call coverage to support urgent cardiac procedures.
