Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in our inpatient and outpatient procedural labs focused on cardiac patients in the upstate New York region. The position involves working in a collaborative environment with RN staff and CVT, emphasizing excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care during mechanical and electrical diagnosis and interventions for both adult and pediatric cardiac patients.
• Provide pre and post-procedural care in the holding area.
• Assist with various cardiac interventions including TAVR, Microclip, and Watchman procedures.
• Perform assessments and monitor patient conditions before, during, and after procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (AHA).
• Must be trained in moderate sedation and dysrhythmia.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Hands-on experience with Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, PCI, and CTO intervention procedures.
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices including ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVADs.
• Familiarity with structural heart procedures such as MitraClip and PFO closures.
• Critical care or cardiac experience is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiovascular certification or RCES preferred.
• Experience in electrophysiology (EP) lab procedures.
• Knowledge of device and ablation procedures and equipment.

Work Schedule

This position is available for flexible scheduling options including 4x10 or 3x12 hour shifts, with potential weekend or holiday requirements.
