Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified professional in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) specialty to join its acute care team. The role involves performing complex cardiac procedures, including catheterizations, angiographies, and temporary pacemaker insertions, within a high-acuity environment that manages patients with heart-related conditions such as STEMI and stroke. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic lab setting, providing essential diagnostic and interventional services.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Active Illinois license or confirmation that application has been initiated, BLS, ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, four days per week, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Location Requirements: Must be eligible to work within the state, adhering to local policies, including the OSF Call Off Policy.
- Responsibilities: Admit, prepare, and recover procedural cases from Cath, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Electrophysiology (EP). Read tele strips, titrate drips, and administer IV medications. Experience with peripheral angio cases, neuro intervention, and IR preferred.
- Technologies and Equipment: EMR system is Epic; equipment includes Philips monitoring devices.
- Additional Information: Usually a 1-week unit-specific orientation covering four shifts. Cancellations require a 12-hour notice per 13-week period. The department maintains a Trauma Level 2 designation and operates in an acute care division.
