Job Summary
RN, Cardiac Cath Lab. This position supports adult and geriatric cardiac catheterization procedures, with primary responsibility for independently scrubbing cath lab cases. The 13-week assignment includes day shifts, on-call coverage, weekend participation, and holiday scheduling as required.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts available as 312s from 6:30 AM7:00 PM or 410s from 7:00 AM5:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. On-call coverage is required, including approximately eight weeknights and four weekend 24-hour shifts per six-week schedule.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of recent, strong Cardiac Cath Lab experience; ability to independently scrub cath lab cases; active Maryland or compact nursing license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); and ARRT-R and/or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credentials.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience is accepted but not required. First-time travelers may be considered.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, intra-aortic balloon pump placement and removal, rotablator atherectomy, equipment setup, dysrhythmia interpretation, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing. Weekend coverage and holidays are required as scheduled. The patient population includes adults and geriatric patients, with a daily census of approximately 1015 patients. Influenza vaccination is required.
