Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab. This position supports adult and geriatric patients in cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures. The role requires recent cardiac catheterization laboratory and interventional scrubbing experience, weekday shifts, and on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Maryland (MD) or Compact license; at least 2 years of experience with recent cardiac catheterization laboratory and interventional scrubbing experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience and charting system experience.
- Additional Information:
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Care is provided to adult and geriatric patients.
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, structural heart procedures, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), MitraClip, Watchman procedures, patent foramen ovale (PFO) procedures, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management, Rotablator procedures, Shockwave procedures, and hybrid Operating Room (OR) cases is relevant to the role.
- On-call coverage is required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- The position includes procedural sedation monitoring, dysrhythmia management, sheath removal and monitoring, vascular closure systems, cardiac stent placement, cardioversion, left and right heart catheterization, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI).
- Flu vaccination is required without exemptions.
